Weekly Progress & Plan

 Here is my weekly progress for the magazine project and also a rough plan.

• Week 1

Monday: we played a game to memorise about last term's topic which is Media Theories

Thursday: We learned about Media Theories

Friday: Mr. Nick introduced us to the next topic which is magazine

• Week 2 

On Monday, we studied representation theory and I learned some new things. However, on thursday, I was absent because I got sick and i couldnt find any information from friends. Friday, I continued to work on the magazine project research.

• Week 3 

- We revised on representation on monday and thursday

- On friday, we continued to work on our magazine research and I took only 2 photos of the conents which are the advertisements 

Problems: I had a problem choosing the genre, either basketball or sportbikes

Solution: I will do a research on which one is much more famous in Indonesia 

To-do: Continue the statement of intent

• Week 4

- We learned about genre theory on monday and thursday

- On friday, we finished up our magazine research and will be moving on to making our own magazine soon

Problems: So far, I have no problems with the magazine research.

Solution: -

To-do: Complete the magazine development

• Week 5

- On monday, we contiuned studying theory. We had a groupwork to make a poster with a topic of one theory and my group did cultivation theory. 

- Thursday, we researched on how our double page spread will look like by looking at a magazine that is supposed to have a similar genre with ours. 

Problem: I did not bring my own magazine which then I had to borrow from a friend. Thankfully, he has a similar genre to mines which is motorcycles. 

Solution: A friend brought his

• Week 6

- On monday, we learned traditional media and new media. we learned the difference between the two and how it connects to each other.

- On Thursday, we tried doing section A with paper. We did an exam practice.

- On Friday, we finally started writing our artice for the magazine project.

Problem: I had no problem at all in this week

Solution: -

To-Do: Continue the article for my double page spread magazine 

• Week 7

- On monday, we continued our project lesson with a check list. This will be our final week on term 2 before our semestral exam starts. I found out that I was missing some tasks in my blog which are Targeting Audiences and Statement of Intent but I managed to finish the statement of intent today.

Problems: I haven't finished a lot of my reflections and my article.

Solutions: Finish it by Thursday

To-Do: I need to find places for my magazine pictures and continue the unfinished projects. 

SEMESTER 2

• Week 1 (semester 2)

- On monday, we learned about production, distribution and exhibition

- On tuesday, we learned about democratisation 

- On thursday, we started making our Location Sout and Risk Assesment. I remembered we had to take pictures of some locations to plan our magazine and I did.

• Week 2 (semester 2)

- We continued our magazine project, this time we did some planning on our front cover pictures. We also took some pictures for examples of what it will look like. Im planning to take my REAL front page cover this weekend in KFC sunset road because thats where bikers usually gather in the morning.

Shooting schedule:

- Sunday || 8:00AM - 4:00PM

- Location (KFC Sunset Road) (Saka's House) 

Problems: we could barely find a good spot to take the pictures 

Solution:

- 

• Week 3 (semester 2)

- I took the pictures for my magazine in KFC Sunset road, only got some big bikes like the ZX6R, R1M, ER6N, Harley Davidson Street 

on monday, we prepared for the upcoming test on Monday next week.

Tuesday, we continue our project lesson which we started making our critical self-reflection

• Week 5 (Semester 2)

- On monday, we did our unit test about synergy

- On Tuesday, we continued our project lesson and I've made 3 different covers with all different pictures. 

• Week 6 (Semester 2)

-This whole week we only focused on the project which includes doing the Front cover design, Content page and the Double page spread. We also made a research and development post for each section of the project and that also needs to be done.

Problems: our class was cut in half so we only had 1 hour to do the double page spread

Soultion: Work on everything at home and finish it by next week.

REFLECTION:

- Taking notes of what I do every week is not that hard. All I needed to do is track down of what I've done in week 1 2 3 4 5 (and so on) and also figuring what I have done wrong or what i haven't done. I've had some missing assignments ofcourse.
